Canterbury Tour Guide Android Version
- Q. Will this App work on my handset.
- A. Your handset must support Android API Level 3 or greater. We have built and tested this software on the HTC Hero (also known as the T-Mobile G2 in the UK), and also generic Android Versions 1.5 to 2.0.1 (Code level 3 and above) with a 320×480 screen. It is possible to use either the touch screen or the physical buttons to interact with the application.
- Q. I have installed the Tour Guide App. Do I need to switch my GPS on, and be physically in Canterbury to run it?
- A. If you are not in Canterbury, make sure your GPS is not switched on, and you will be able to use the App, however as you are not physically in Canterbury your position will not update, but you can still pan around the Canterbury Map and listen to the audio tracks by clicking on the blue ‘i’ icons.
- Q. My handset says there’s not enough space to install the application?
- A. It sounds like your handset memory is nearly full. You could try removing some data that you don’t need, such as music or picture files.
- Q. I have started the app but all I get is a blank white map.
- A. This is because you have your GPS switched on but you are not in Canterbury. Switch your GPS off and restart the application to be able to see the map, allowing you to search the marked points even if you are not physically in Canterbury.
